About the event
For The Culture Series is bringing style, creativity, music, and cultural impact of the Harlem Renaissance at the Harlem Renaissance Fashion Show & Clothing Drive on Sunday, June 14 from 3–5 PM!
Hosted by Needful Things, Exile on Main Street, Maize at the Station, and the City of Champaign as part of the For the Culture series, this event brings together fashion, food, history, music, community, and giving back. Attendees will enjoy a fashion show inspired by the Harlem Renaissance, live music, family-friendly activities along Chestnut Street, and opportunities to learn more about a period that helped shape Black art, literature, fashion, and culture across the United States. Following the fashion show, continue the celebration with music and a dance party at Exile on Main Street and a FREE appetizer and mocktail buffet at Maize's red room!
