Getting Downtown

Arriving by Car

Multiple Public Parking lots are available throughout Downtown. 

 

Parking is enforced Monday through Friday,

8:00 AM - 9:00 PM.

​

Parking is Free on Saturday, Sunday, and all City Holidays.​

Arriving by MTD

Getting Downtown on MTD is a breeze!  Nearly every City route comes through Illinois Terminal.  A one-way trip is just $1, and all University of Illinois students, faculty, and staff ride by showing their ID.

Annual and Monthly passes are available.

Paying With Mobile Meter

Paying for Parking in Downtown is a breeze.  The City of Champaign uses MobileMeter as its mobile payment processing app.  

1. Download the MobileMeter App or open it on your phone. (register for first time users)

2. Locate the Mobile Meter sticker on each meter and enter the zone number when prompted.

3. Input your space number when prompted.

4. Select your desired time (you can always add time if you are not at your hourly limit)

5. Select your payment method (save your debit/credit card for faster use)

6. ENJOY DOWNTOWN!
