In collaboration with The Beat on Market Street, For the Culture is bringing you a series of activations intentionally designed to connect people with communities, hobbies, and experiences they may have never explored before.
One of those communities is the fighting game community. It's a group of people who come together through competition, gaming, conversation, and friendship. Whether you've been playing games for years or have never touched a fighting game before, this is a chance to jump in, meet people, and have some fun. Challenge someone to a match of Street Fighter on PS5, pull up a chair for dominoes or spades, enjoy music, and connect with people from across Champaign-Urbana.
