About the event
Gloria Roubal is a Champaign-Urbana–based singer-songwriter, guitarist, and recording artist who creates melodic, guitar-based alt-pop with strong hooks and thoughtful lyrics. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Fiona Apple, Jonatha Brooke, and Sheryl Crow, her songs are reflective and emotionally resonant with a soulful edge.
Past bands and projects include G. Lee & Jet Blonde, The Double Dots, Paul & Gloria, and The Brat Pack. Currently, Gloria performs solo acoustic shows and duo shows with bassist/vocalist Jill Greenlee, and also hosts Writers in the Round, a songwriter showcase she organizes at The Rose Bowl in Urbana. The series reflects her ongoing commitment to supporting local and regional songwriters and fostering community through music.
With five full-length albums and one EP released to date, Gloria’s most recent album, I Used to Float, was released on December 5, 2025.
