About the event
With a refined emphasis on melody and a minimalist approach to percussion, The Broadmoor Quartet offers a softer approach to jazz. The result is a delicious re-invention of the classic jazz trio with vocalist in the spirit of chamber/West Coast jazz artists like Ahmad Jamal, Oscar Peterson, and the Modern Jazz Quartet. You’ll hear a healthy mix of vocal standards, plus some Bossa Nova, Latin arrangements of familiar favorites, and an unexpected pop tune or two.
